Making Gen AI practical for everyone

Do you write the same kinds of prompts over and over?
Do you go back to prior chats to add on more?
Do you find the responses from Gen AI generic and not tailored to your needs?
There's a better way: build an assistant once, then use it over and over again.
In this course, you'll learn how to create custom Gen AI assistants for the work you do repeatedly, whether you're in Gemini, Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude. We'll start with the essentials: how Gen AI actually works, what it draws on to respond, and the vocabulary you need to know (assistants vs. agents). Then we'll dive into the PATHS for Effective Prompting™, a framework that turns vague requests into reliable outputs.
You'll apply PATHS to build assistants for your repeat work: Persona assistants (for expertise with which you want to partner or audiences you engage often), Process assistants (for multi-step processes you do regularly), and Knowledge assistants (for information you turn to again and again).
You'll use the TUNE framework to refine and improve your assistants so they get sharper over time. You'll leave with working tools, plus guides and templates to keep building after the course.
Goals and group introduction
A fast, practical tour of how Gen AI generates responses, what it pulls from, and where predictions go wrong. See personalization options. Establish the mental model that makes everything else click.
Clear definitions for terms people use loosely. What counts as an assistant, what makes something an agent, and when to reach for each in your work.
Apply five practices that turn vague prompts into reliable outputs: Persona, Action, Truth, Help, Slices. Use these to develop your personal assistant that knows you, your goals, and preferences.
I'll provide a quick comparison of the assistant tools within ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini, Then you'll build your assistant in the platform of your choice.
Use the TUNE Framework to test and improve your personal assistant
Break or time for questions
Discuss the repeated processes you do. Use Tia's template to build an assistant called Process Planner. Use it to create a Process Assistant for a multi-step workflow of your choice. Tune it,
See options for Knowledge Assistants that hold sources you consult frequently. Learn and use grounded prompting tools (Notebooks) that maximize accuracy across long context (hundreds of sources).
Recap what we learned, walk through options for assistance after the course (custom resources, Gen AI Learning assistants), and pose your questions.
