Working with Pranav at MakeMyTrip was a masterclass in product leadership. I worked closely with Pranav during our time at MakeMyTrip, when the company was transitioning from a desktop-first world to mobile-first. He played a key role in building the mobile product foundations and some of the early rails for data science and data-driven decision making.

What stands out for me about pranav is how connected he is to consumer insights, cutting edge tech in depth and the practical aspects of how to commercially apply these in different phases of evolution of a megatrend. He has the unique advantage of being a core engineer turned product manager who is as curious about human psychology as he is about the latest tech developments.

I had the privilege of working with Pranav when he was my manager at MakeMyTrip — in what was also my first role as a Product Manager.

We were building the mobile application from the ground up at a time when mobile commerce in India was still in its infancy. There were no playbooks to copy, no established best practices to borrow from. We had to think from first principles and that is something Pranav drilled into me early on. Beyond product thinking, he shaped how I view leadership.
