How to find your killer idea when agents build for you

Anyone can build now. Building what fits you and the market is the hard part.

You have 16 projects, all about 60% done, and no way to decide which one to finish.

Or you have an idea you're excited about. Your AI agent says it's a good one and helps you build it, and write a business plan and a marketing plan. Months later you finally talk to a potential customer, and the whole thing falls apart.

Building has gotten much easier.

Building something that holds up in the real world has not.

And your friendly AI tool will happily help you build the wrong thing with great confidence.

This workshop helps you decide before you spend those months. You'll pitch your idea in one shot, then test it on three things: who the buyer is, how you compare to what they use today, and whether you're the right person to build it. You'll end the day interviewing a peer to find the gaps in your thinking.

What you’ll learn

Transition from an entrepreneur with many ideas and no focus to one who knows what to build, and why it fits you and your market.

  • Pitch your idea in one shot (who it's for, how they'd use it), then sharpen it with peer and mentor feedback.

  • Research a buyer persona in a hands-on exercise and list what you still need to confirm in real customer conversations.

  • Run 1:1 peer interviews using the "5 Whys" to find the real problem behind your first answer.

  • Map the alternatives your buyer uses today, including doing nothing, in a competitive research exercise.

  • Write a value proposition that states why a buyer would switch, then test it on a peer.

  • Identify or create your niche, and ensure your positioning is clear.

  • Assess your skills, network and motivation against what the idea demands in a founder fit exercise.

  • Spot where the idea outruns your strengths, then change its scope, customer or approach to fit you.

  • Compare your ideas side by side to choose which to pursue and which to pause.

Workshop agenda

  • Welcome and how the day works [15min, Amir]

Meet the group, see the plan for the day, and learn how the day moves from human exercises with Balaji to AI workflows with Amir.

  • Baseline: one-shot pitch of your idea [55 min, Balaji]

Pitch your idea cold in one shot: who it's for and how they'd use it. Peers write feedback, and you compare against your end-of-day pitch.

  • The value proposition: buyer, competition and founder fit [60 min, Balaji]

Balaji teaches what makes a value proposition hold up and the three lenses for testing an idea, with pair and group exercises that apply each lens to your own idea.

  • Lunch and learn: founder failure cases [40 min, Balaji]

While you eat, one or a few founder cases are presented. The group discusses why they failed and what could have been done differently.

  • 5 Whys peer interviews to find the real problem [30 min, Balaji]

Pair up and challenge each other with the 5 Whys. Dig past your first answer to the real problem, the buyer and your reason for building, then update your idea.

  • AI workflow 1: research your buyer and competition [55 min, Amir]

Amir gives you an AI workflow to apply Balaji's concepts to your project: build a buyer persona and map what buyers use today, then check the output yourself.

  • AI workflow 2: test founder fit and evolve your idea [55 min, Amir]

Run a second workflow to assess founder fit and reshape the idea so you're the right person to build it. Finish with a value proposition one-pager and a short huddle.

  • Closing: re-pitch your evolved idea and compare [60 min, Amir]

Repeat the opening pitch in random order with your new value proposition. Write feedback for each presenter and compare before and after.

  • Debrief: what changed and what to test next [15 min, Amir]

Review how the pitches changed and why, then leave with the customer conversations to have next and how to keep practicing using the AI workflows.
