Community is the backbone of Web3. We’ll discuss platforms used to cultivate communities in the Web3 space and get you set up to start engaging.

    In Module 1, you will learn about the technology of the blockchain, transactions, and cryptocurrency, as well as receive an introduction to the world of Web3.

    Setting up a Wallet

    We will walk you through how to set up your first crypto wallet in Module 2.

    Connecting to OpenSea

    In Module 3, we will teach you how to connect your crypto wallet to OpenSea, which is an NFT marketplace.


    Please submit Homework 1 upon completion of the module. You must submit Homework 1 prior to Wednesday at 6:00 PM EST to graduate from Web3 University.

    Anatomy of an OpenSea Collection

    For Module 4, we will guide you on how to navigate an NFT collection's home page on OpenSea to enable you to begin exploring the world of NFTs.

    Connecting to a Crypto Exchange

    For our Module 5 lesson, we will cover what crypto exchanges are, walk you through how to create your account, and teach you how to purchase and send crypto.


    Please note that you are not required to purchase or send crypto to complete this course.

    We will walk you through the NFT buyer's journey for Module 6.


    In order to proceed with Web3 University, please be sure you have submitted Module 3's homework form by this Wednesday at 6:00 PM EST.

    All About Discord

    In Module 7, we will learn about Discord, which a chatting platform used to build and cultivate NFT communities.

    In Module 8, we will walk you through how to create your Discord account safely and securely.

    In Module 9, we will expand on a few defining characteristics of Discord: roles, permissions, and bots.

    We will walk you through some recommendations for keeping your Discord account secure and protected in Module 10.

    In our final module, we will walk you through how to utilize a bot in Discord to open up token-gated channels.


    As your second and final homework assignment, you'll be asked to do the following:

    • Follow the steps laid out in Module 11 to open up our private student channels in Open3's Discord
    • Unhide your Open3 NFT (guide provided within homework form)
    • Send us your Discord username
