Course overview

Learn how to build and regulate AI agents

2025 was predicted to be the year of AI agents and it certainly seems to be true based on the marketing. However, the term "agent" means something different to different people.

In this course, we will explore what an AI agent means today and how companies are building them right now. Once we learn how they are built, then you can govern them.

If you have not built an AI governance program yet, don't worry, we will cover this as an ad hoc specific use case. But if you have, this course will incorporate the governance of AI agents into your existing program.

In this course we will:

🐲 Explore different terms used to describe AI products and services;

🐲 Explore a few solutions available on the market today;

🐲 Discuss why AI agents are different when it comes to the risks involved;

🐲 Add AI agents to your AI governance program for seamless, yet effective, responsible AI use. If you don't have an AI governance program, I will provide you with the information you need to regulate AI agents.

This course is not theoretical. It is a practical exploration of available tools on the market and where AI tools are headed into the future.

Caroline McCaffery

Caroline McCaffery

With 25 years of law practice behind me, I found that I love teaching almost as much as I love learning. This course was put together at the prompting of a friend after I spent an hour arguing why the term "AI Agent" is incorrectly used and how dangerous they could be if used incorrectly.

After doing extensive research, I decided that others may be as interested in this topic as I am. My goal is to always leave you with practical takeaways and this one will be about how to evaluate these AI agentic tools, regulating them for safety and human oversight.
