Course overview

Learn practical genAI skills to use within life sciences workflows in 2 hours!

We cover four pivotal areas so you can walk away understanding the basics of genAI and its applications in your day to day world.

Current State of LLMs

We'll provide an overview of Large Language Models (LLMs) and discuss how they function. With the technology rapidly developing, we'll explore the latest advancements in LLMs, including breakthroughs and emerging trends relevant to life sciences, while showcasing application within the industry in areas such as drug discovery, patient care, and regulatory and compliance needs.

Prompt Engineering

We will cover the basics of prompt engineering, providing the best practices for crafting effective prompts to elicit desired responses from LLMs.

Life Sciences Use Case

Using what you learned in the first session, you will try out a use case for homework. Then we will discuss the results in the second session with any actionable takeaways.

Safety and Compliance

We'll explore together the ethical implications of using AI in life sciences, including bias, transparency, and accountability. With AI being such a new technology, we'll speak on the regulatory and compliance frameworks which exist to govern the use of AI in healthcare and research settings.

These topics will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of GenAI's potential in life sciences, equipping you with practical skills and knowledge they can immediately apply!
