Meagan Loyst, Founder of Gen Z VCs

Hi! I'm Meagan. I started my career in growth equity right out of college (2019 grad) then broke into VC with a cold email! ✉️

I have 3+ years of investing experience, having sourced 6 deals in the past year & supported 20+ portfolio companies at Lerer Hippeau ($1.5bn in AUM, the most active early stage VC fund in NYC). And before that, I started growth investing at General Atlantic ($84Bn in AUM) at 21 years old 💫

I won the National Venture Capital Association's "Rising Star Award" this year, landed on the 2022 Forbes 30U30 list in VC, and am a 2022 LinkedIn Top Voice (one of the top 10 Gen Z creators globally) with ~40k additional followers on Twitter (up from 50 followers only 2 years ago).

I got hired in VC at 22 yrs old with no friends or network in VC... so I built one for our generation. I'm the Founder & CEO of Gen Z VCs, the largest community for young people in Tech & VC globally with ~19,000 members from 80+ countries... and now a movement. I've been featured in Business Insider (15x), Cosmopolitan, The Washington Post, WSJ, Forbes, TechCrunch, Hunger Magazine, BloombergTV, Fox Business News, Business of Fashion, Axios, and more.

I'm also a content creator, writing articles like my "Metaverse 101" 26-page manifesto that's been read by over 1 million people. I help large brands & Fortune500 companies understand the Gen Z consumer & worker, and am an international speaker highlighting the Gen Z POV on various sectors. http://www.meaganloyst.com/
