Lisa Peyton AI Professor, Practitioner, and Pioneer

I teach AI for strategic marketing and communications as full-time faculty at the University of Oregon's School of Journalism and Communication, and I run LP Consulting, where I'm the fractional CMO for B2B tech and SaaS teams working through real AI integration.

I have spent over two decades in marketing and emerging tech, including five years on Intel's global marketing team. Most of what I teach comes straight from doing the work. I test the models myself, publish what I find, and bring the parts that actually hold up into my classroom and my consulting practice. I write about it for Forbes and I've spoken at PRSA ICON, Ragan, and MarketingProfs, where marketing and communications leaders are wrestling with the same AI questions in real time.

My biggest reflection: AI is not a replacement for marketers—it’s a capability multiplier. Used thoughtfully, it helps teams spend less time on manual execution and more time on strategy, creativity, and customer insights. Excited to continue exploring how AI can strengthen content marketing and revenue growth.
