📖 Syllabus as a timeline

The syllabus is the cornerstone of your course. It outlines what, how, and when students will learn, powering both your landing page and student home. Over the last year, we’ve heard consistent feedback from you on a few structural gaps:

How do I connect an event to a module?
How do I mark what to do before an event?
How do I communicate a timeline?

In the new syllabus, events fit into your flow. You can seamlessly move events between and into modules. This flexibility allows you to create a clear hierarchy and sequence events and lessons. We’ve also refreshed the look and feel to show just the right amount of info across student views.

⚡️ Lightning Lessons

Lightning Lessons are a powerful way for you to grow your reach and sales. With 200K+ student signups to date, we’ve graduated from beta! Any instructor can now run a new live lesson on any topic, at any time. The best lessons are tactical, efficient, and interactive, and the most compelling are featured in our new weekly “Upcoming Lighting Lessons” email. We recommend you schedule a lesson every time you open a new cohort.

📚 My Learning

Maven is now a home for more than courses. Thousands of students have already signed up for 10+ Lightning Lessons, so we have evolved what used to be “My Courses” to “My Learning”. This page includes course enrollments and Lightning Lesson signups, with easy access to post-session recordings and links to explore more.

📊 Course analytics beta

Many instructors have asked for analytics to inform their marketing and course activities. We've launched a beta solution using our third-party analytics providers. You can now track landing page conversion, syllabus engagement, last student activity, and more! We expect to improve these reports with your feedback.

🧑‍🎓 Rich student profiles

It's hard to keep track of all your students during your cohort. While the Analytics tab offers a data overview, we know you also want to grab contextual details on the fly. In the Maven community, you can now find a new "profile" sidebar, which includes quick links to their bio, intro, and community activity.
