AI for Product Designers

I liked Xinran's approach throughout the course. He was very invested in us making the most of the course content and made the experience feel very personal and in depth, even though it is a cohort-experience. I personally appreciate his eagerness to create a community of learning by bringing guest speakers to tackle specific topics within the realm of AI. The role of the designer can be very unique, and he seems to understand this by presenting a wide range of resources and workflows for designers to feel more confident incorporating AI to their day to day.

AI for Product Designers

If you're a product designer trying to figure out where AI actually fits into your process, I'd highly recommend this course. Much of the AI content for designers is basically a tour of tools. What I found different here is the focus on the process around them: how to actually integrate AI into your workflow, when it's useful, and when it isn't. The recorded sessions were especially valuable because I got to see how different designers and teams are approaching AI in their actual projects. The live sessions and workshop let me test those ideas against my own work. Since the course, I've started building my own AI prototypes and writing custom skills around how I work, which I wasn't doing before. Xinran's support has also been a big part of the experience. He's still helping me after the course, working through a setup tailored to my current workflow. If you've been experimenting with AI tools but haven't quite turned that into a consistent way of working, this course helps you make that shift.

AI for Product Designers

I wish the class description had said that enrollees should have x amount of knowledge. As it was, I felt overwhelmed and lost most of the time. The instructor offered extra 1:1 time but in general, I just felt like it was a huge brain dump of high level information and less a learning experience that I could get a handle on in order to build my knowledge in future learnings.

A lot of bang for the buck in this workshop. Ayon was very clear on how he wanted to tackle each person's goals and impressively he got to all of them. Great tips on building trust with engineers and Designer strategies to build more achievements in this new work environment. Lots of practical and tactical advise. Highly recommend.
