Figma is great for static screens and simple click-through prototypes. But real products are more complex: a user makes a choice, the flow branches, the content changes, and the result becomes personalised. That kind of interaction is painful to prototype in Figma.
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn to use AI in Cursor to build a complex, data-driven prototype: the kind of branching, personalised experience that responds to user answers and feels close to the real product.
We'll work from a realistic brief for a meal-kit delivery service. You'll build an onboarding flow where users answer questions about their habits, preferences, and goals — and the prototype adapts throughout, ending in a personalised recommendation.
Then we'll simulate the messy part of real product work: stakeholder feedback. You'll use AI to update the flow, change the logic, and adjust content across the prototype — without rebuilding from scratch.
The focus isn't prototyping for its own sake. It's building a prototype that answers a product question, communicates complex logic, and moves the project forward.
You'll leave with a working prototype and a repeatable workflow for when Figma isn't enough.
Prototype behavior, not screens
Start from a realistic product brief — the kind of scenario you'd be handed at work
Prompt AI in Cursor to generate an interactive prototype from that spec
Iterate prompts until it simulates real product functionality, not just static screens
Model questions, answers, and conditions as structured data — the one place all your branching lives
Drive personalised outputs with variables and conditionals instead of duplicate screens
Keep the file navigable with naming and structure so you never hit Figma spaghetti
Sort every piece of feedback into copy / logic / order / content before acting
Prompt AI to apply those changes across the whole flow at once
Run fast review-edit loops instead of rebuilding screen by screen
Split work with a delegation matrix: mechanical and reversible goes to AI, strategic and irreversible stays with you
Review delegated output against a checklist for logic, copy, and risky edge cases
Tie each iteration to the product decision it's meant to unblock
Align on what we're building and why before we open the tools. We'll review the brief and setup, and cover what this kind of prototype is for — and where AI stops helping.
Turn the starting designs and brief into a working prototype. Bring Figma screens into Cursor, then translate the brief into flow logic — questions, branching, and conditional content.
Wire the questionnaire to a real content catalogue so it reacts to what each person says, surfacing computed insights along the way and ending in a personalized recommendation.
Simulate the messy part of real work: direction changes. Apply feedback that grows scope or shifts direction, then use AI to update logic, content, and order across the flow at once.
Pull it together and open the floor. Present the finished flow as a decision-making tool, then Q&A — plus how to apply the approach to your own projects.
