Summary
Discover Maven’s latest updates including on-demand Lightning Lessons, connected school page, streamlined team purchases, and powerful enrollment insights.

Over the last couple months, we’ve built features to introduce new students to your expertise, and create new pathways to convert them.
📺 Lightning Lessons on-demand
The Lightning Lessons platform has become a trusted destination for the ambitious to explore what to learn, with 500+ tactical sessions seen by 100K+ students. We’re encouraged by a growing segment of “power users” - students who sign up for 5+ lessons are 15X more likely to buy a course!

We’re excited to announce an update to reduce friction for “power users” viewing multiple lessons. Starting December 16th, on-demand viewers will no longer need to join the course waitlist to access a recording. Instead:
  • Logged-out visitors will be prompted to create a Maven account to access all recordings
  • On-demand viewers will receive relevant course recommendations based on activity
  • On-demand view count will be tracked on your lesson recording page
For live signups, there’s no change - those emails are added to your waitlist. We designed this new experience to help students explore more courses and enroll. If you’d prefer to hide your recording from Maven’s on-site and email discovery, you can email us at support@maven.com.
In the new syllabus launched today, events finally fit into your flow. You can move events in an order that makes sense for your course, and nest events inside of modules. This allows you to present a clear course structure that gets students to enroll and engage.
🏛️ Your Maven school page
We're seeing more instructors launch multiple courses, and host frequent Lightning Lessons to market them. To make it easy for students to learn about all your Maven activity, we’ve updated the school page! It now lists all your courses, Lightning Lessons, lead magnets, and reviews.

You can access yours at this link - see examples from Ethan Evans, Carl Seidman, and Cassie Kozyrkov. Many instructors have added their Maven school page as a link on social profiles, websites, or Linktrees.
💰 Streamlined team purchases
Learning is better as a team - more shared context, support, and accountability with peers you know. Previously, a team sale would require 8+ emails between Maven, the instructor, and the buyer. We're excited to launch a streamlined checkout flow where buyers can purchase and assign seats on their own.

Since launching, we’ve seen 5X more team purchases per month. This feature is automatically enabled as part of the recently announced Student Growth Program. More details:
  • Buyers receive 20% off list price for 2–9 seats, or 25% off 10+ seats
  • Promo codes cannot be stacked with the team purchase discount
  • Maven still responds to inquiries (e.g. private cohorts) through our contact form
💡 Enrollment insights
When you’re experimenting with new marketing channels, you want to track the impact on enrollments. We’ve shipped two new ways to help you do this:
  • Lead source - many enrollments come from leads that have been nurtured over time. See when and how a student first joined your waitlist on the Analytics tab.
  • “How did you hear about this course?” - we've added an open text field for students to share how they discovered your course. See responses on the Students tab.
🔮 Upcoming features
  • Project notifications - students value instructor feedback on their work, but it can be tough to keep track. We’ll make this easier with automated notifications.
  • Instructor profile - students want to learn more about an instructor’s experience when evaluating a course. We’ll add new fields to better showcase your expertise.
  • Course quality - prospective students are looking for evidence that a course will deliver on its promised outcomes. We’ll expand our rating system to help alumni share more about the experience and impact of the course they took.
