Scheduled emails, student receipts, private cohorts

Over the last couple months, we’ve added new features to save you time, streamline corporate purchases, and level up the on-demand video experience.
📬 Scheduled broadcast emails
Emails are an important way you keep leads warm and students updated on Maven. We know crafting a valuable email can take a few working sessions - and once it's ready, you want to set and forget it. You can now 1) save draft broadcast emails and return to edit and 2) schedule them to send at a future time.

🧾 In-product student receipt
30%+ of Maven students get reimbursed by their company for courses, but our automated email receipt didn’t always meet the mark - it missed important info and could get lost in the inbox. This was one of our most common support requests. We’ve now made a detailed receipt accessible within Maven, making reimbursement simple for students.
Next step: For students that ask about receipts, you can direct them to maven.com/me.
🔒 Private cohorts
More companies are recognizing the expertise of Maven instructors. Last fall, we launched team purchases to streamline buying multiple seats. We’ve now launched private cohorts to enable custom engagements. Private cohorts are not listed publicly on your course landing page, and instead purchased via a direct payment link.

▶️ Upgraded video player
With our continued growth, many more students have been playing videos on Maven. This has led to occasional viewing issues. We’ve now integrated with Mux, a best-in-class video API provider, to offer adaptive streaming (less buffering!), closed captions, unlimited upload size, enhanced security, and more.
Next step: No action needed! All videos going forward (and any prior videos uploaded in the last year) will use the new and improved infrastructure. 
📺 Lightning Lessons on-demand
Maven now allows professionals to access 700+ on-demand Lightning Lessons. Together, we’re creating a trusted platform that pushes ambitious students to think about new skills and discover your courses. We’ve made two updates to increase the value and discoverability of your lesson recordings:
  • Logged-out viewers added to your email list. This recognizes your efforts to drive traffic to your on-demand lesson, while allowing for a low-friction logged-in student experience.
  • Related on-demand Lightning Lessons. We’re testing new ways to drive more students to your lessons. Students can now find related lessons based on topic relevance.
