After almost two decades in design leadership, including years as a hiring manager, I found myself suddenly unemployed thanks to private equity and corporate politics. Even with that experience, putting together my own application package in 2026 left me feeling like a fish out of water, especially with AI and applicant tracking systems adding another layer of uncertainty to the hiring process. I already appreciated Jared’s social media content, so when this course popped up in my LI feed, I signed up, even though it started the next day. Everything Jared said was very insightful and made so much sense that I cant believe I didnt see it all myself before the course. Sometimes it takes hearing it from another person, from a different perspective to click. The course was thorough and there were a lot of assignments that helped reframe how we should be approaching the job search.

I came away with a much clearer sense of how to tell my own story, target roles that truly fit my skills and goals, and build relationships that lead to real opportunities.

I appreciated all facets of this course. Building out the timeline, working with my accountability partner, and building out my portfolio were the three most valuable tasks.
