The Science of GAIN (6-min video)

When a thought or feeling won't leave you alone, what can you do? In traditional mindfulness practice, we're taught to "just let it go," but some thoughts and accompanying emotions don’t go; they sit here like a storm cloud raining and raging all over us. Just like a persistent colleague who won’t leave you alone until you get their message, it can be really useful to turn towards these thoughts and feelings and engage in an Inner Dialogue with them. This video gives you an example of how to do just this, as well as how you might us AI to support you.

The GAIN Framework Template

Communication is like a game of catch. It works well when one person is throwing (i.e. speaking) and the other is catching (i.e. listening). It doesn’t work well when both people are throwing or just waiting their turn to throw.&nbsp; We can deepen connection and defuse defensiveness when we get better at catching whatever they throw our way.
