Why this topic matters

GTM engineers who truly understand their customers expand accounts 3x faster than those who rely on generic pitches. As the role evolves beyond technical implementation to revenue impact, customer empathy has become the differentiating skill. Companies are promoting GTMEs who can speak to both C-suite and stakeholder pain points, not just product features.
