Gina is a co-founder and GP at Latitud Ventures, a leading venture capital firm investing in early-stage startups from across Latin America, including Brazil.
Previously, Gina led growth and marketing at Duolingo from 3 to 200 million users via organic strategies (PR, a/b testing, internationalization, partnerships) and was part of the executive team. In her younger days, Gina founded a boutique agency in Brazil to help tech companies grow in Brazil. She represented Tumblr in Latin America, creating and implementing a strategy that led to hockey-stick growth via tactics spanning PR, community, localization, and partnerships. She also led MediaMath’s launch in the country and developed international digital marketing campaigns for luxury brands such as LVMH, Estée Lauder and American Express.
Gina's had the honor of giving keynotes at conferences in Brazil, Mexico, the United States, and China, and of presenting to President Obama. She has a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Brandeis University, where she co-authored a neuroscience study.
