Vitaly is the author, co-author and editor of Smashing Books, and a curator of Smashing Conferences. He is the UX lead with the European Parliament and Smashing Magazine and senior UX consultant in Europe and abroad, working with large and small companies and organizations like European Parliament, Alliander, Haufe-Lexware, Axel-Springer and many others.

Over the last 20 years, he's been scouting the web for reliable and effective design patterns. He used the chance to explore what works and what doesn’t, how people use design patterns, especially around AI, when they struggle and succeed and when they trust and use digital products.

He also runs Measure UX, Design Patterns For AI Interfaces and Smart Interface Design Patterns — friendly video courses on UX and design patterns, along with a live UX training for passionate UX and product designers.
