What you'll learn

Read a Sector's AI Visibility Maturity

Use AI to read whether a specific sector is investing in AI visibility or staying mostly silent.

Spot Real AI Investment Signals

Use AI to scan a competitor's content, site, and hiring for their AI stance and investment.

Turn Signals Into a Category Maturity Read

Combine the signals into one read, early, on pace, or heating up, then decide whether to move.

Why this topic matters

Before you invest in AI visibility, it helps to know whether your category is moving on it at all. Are competitors publishing a point of view, putting real budget behind it, or staying quiet? You can read that temperature in 30 minutes with AI. The goal isn't to copy anyone, since nobody has this figured out yet. It's to decide, with eyes open, whether to be early, on pace, or stay out.

AI for Strategic Communications Professor | Forbes Contributor | Former Intel

I teach AI for strategic marketing and communications as full-time faculty at the University of Oregon's School of Journalism and Communication, and I run LP Consulting, where I'm the fractional CMO for B2B tech and SaaS teams working through real AI integration.

I have spent over two decades in marketing and emerging tech, including five years on Intel's global marketing team. Most of what I teach comes straight from doing the work. I test the models myself, publish what I find, and bring the parts that actually hold up into my classroom and my consulting practice. I write about it for Forbes and I've spoken at PRSA ICON, Ragan, and MarketingProfs, where marketing and communications leaders are wrestling with the same AI questions in real time.
