What you'll learn

Move beyond the org chart

ask three questions that reveal how an organisation really works, not how it looks on paper

Spot what people aren't saying

tell real agreement apart from people quietly protecting themselves

Pressure test your read

use a simple way to check whether your take on a culture is right before you act on it

Why this topic matters

Most change efforts fail because the diagnosis was wrong, not because the plan was bad. People act on how an organisation looks on paper, not how it actually works. The more senior you are, the easier it is to misread a new place through the habits of the last one. Reading culture is not a formula you apply; it is something you practise. I will show how you read effectively to lead change well.

Organisational Culture + Change Consultant | Leadership Educator

I teach leaders + teams how to read culture accurately before they try to change it.

For 15+ years, I've worked globally in organisational culture, leadership development + talent strategy; from recruiting early career talent + directing a university careers centre to advising senior leaders + teams on culture + change. I use the Organisational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) as a diagnostic tool, and my PhD examined how cultures protect themselves from scrutiny after crisis.

I love to teach leaders at all levels in postgraduate programmes, executive education + cohort-based courses, in person and online. I founded a practice for leaders + teams navigating change, culture + career transitions.
