This course taught me so much. While it gives me the confidence to engage in other types of conversations, I believe the true value is a new appetite to learn more from people who speak the language of business and strategy more fluently. Jac was a fantastic instructor and did an amazing job at helping us all answer our questions.

Amazing course, teaching me new frameworks to understand the business of design, communicating design to business stakeholders, and how to use AI effectively.

This course changed how I connect design decisions to business outcomes. I now feel more confident prioritising opportunities, linking design work to measurable impact, estimating ROI with transparent assumptions, and communicating recommendations in stakeholder language. The biggest shift is that I now approach design more strategically: clarify what is at stake, connect evidence to business value, present trade-offs, and close with a clear ask. My next step is to apply these frameworks consistently in real projects and continue strengthening my business and financial fluency.

I came into this course not quite knowing what to expect. Our team had sought out a course to help lift the business acumen of our designers, but in a way that designers understand - and that's just what this course does! Six people from our broader design team attended the course in our cohort and we all found it extremely valuable. NGL the workload was steep, and more than we were expecting, but at the end we all came out with a framework for communicating design strategy and decisions in a voice that leadership will engage with. The additional focus on how to bring AI into these workflows was extremely helpful and I will take those skills away also and apply them in my own work. Thanks Jac for a great 5 weeks! I really enjoyed it

Jacalin takes you from macro to micro, to you — and that's where the real unlock happens. Your business brain, switched on. Years of experience, compounding in her brain, vomited out creatively into something so easy to digest. Thank you for being vulnerable, Jacalin. For sharing your experiences and case studies, and for igniting the why and how behind designers earning a seat in the boardroom.
