Transition into UX for Healthcare

The class offers a hands-on approach to applying UX to healthcare targeted at a problem that's usually close to home to the other participants. That created opportunities to learn so much from my fellow classmates, and made the investment in each project apparent. Eric also is generous in making himself available to answer questions in and out of class. A great way to delve into healthcare and connect with other folks passionate about a cause.

Transition into UX for Healthcare

I really enjoyed this class. It provided a strong foundation in healthcare UX, covering topics like HIPAA and the healthcare user model matrix. What stood out most was the emphasis on rapid prototyping, user research, and incorporating feedback throughout the design process. This approach helped me take an idea that mostly existed in my head and turn it into a tangible product that I could share with people and healthcare professionals. Their feedback helped me continue improving the concept and made the entire learning experience feel practical and meaningful.

Transition into UX for Healthcare

It was a really helpful course because it made me aware of what it means to design to health care. Special care needs to be taken because regulations, safety, privacy, and accessibility are far more significant when products involve humans. It takes design to a new level. Eric does a great job explaining concepts that are unique to healthcare and what that means for UX. Being able to design an app using AI and working through the design process was invaluable.
