Learn directly from Evan LaPointe

Tons of value in this course that I will surely be referencing back to for the rest of my career. The material was very thought provoking and really did a nice job of neatly packaging up all the different components of logical thinking and how to practically become better at logical thinking. By extension the material taught also touches on many other important topics such as influence, communication, decision-making, and more.

This course has genuinely sharpened how I think. What stood out most is its emphasis on going beyond surface-level observations to examine underlying assumptions, causal mechanisms, and the logic connecting ideas. It challenges you to think more clearly, question your own reasoning, and approach complex problems with greater rigor. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to improve the quality of their own thinking and decision-making.

Evan did a great job teaching this course. It's highly practical and not at all abstract. He pairs his concepts with real product and business examples to drive home the points. After the course you understand that decision making in product, business, or any other domain dominated by uncertainty is a skill and there are levels to that skill. Instead of sleep walking through decisions, you become aware there are ways to arrive at more correct decisions via the logical tools taught in the course.

After about an hour of class, I knew I’d be coming back to this course for the rest of my career. Evan started by completely dismantling my confidence in how I make decisions, before giving me (and the rest of the group) practical ways to think through them and influence others to do the same. For product people who might be reading: this pairs extremely well with Shreyas's World Class Product Sense. The quality is on par. So much value packed into a relatively short amount of time. Evan is an incredibly engaging teacher. 10/10, highly recommend.

If you’re considering this course but aren’t sure, take it. If you think this might not be for you because you’re already a logical thinker, you’re wrong. Take it. The depth and density of the material are mental, but the way Evan builds it from first principles, makes you think, and keeps bringing every conversation back to logic is even better. The cohort also adds value to the mix: plenty of questions from other attendees taught me more than my own. This was the best educational experience I’ve ever had (and I hate synchronous virtual courses).
