I've spent nearly 20 years as an HR Business Partner across organizations like American Express, WebMD, Electronic Arts, and Spotify.

Today my work centers on one idea: turning HR practitioners into genuine business leaders.

I teach HRBPs the things no one ever taught them, how businesses actually make money, product models, financial terms, how to read a marketing plan, and how to be a strategic advisor that executives want to partner with.

Most HR professionals are excellent at HR. What almost none of them were ever trained to be is business people.

That gap is what my content, cohorts, writing, and speaking are built to close, pairing advanced HR competencies with real business fluency so HRBPs can move from support function to credible strategic advisor.

HRBP Guide to AI and The Future of Work

I really enjoyed HRBP Guide to AI and the Future of Work. What stood out to me was that the class went beyond teaching HR professionals how to use AI tools and instead focused on understanding what AI actually means for the workforce, HR strategy, organisational design, and the future of work. The discussions around AI-augmented roles, emerging skills, workforce planning, agentic AI, responsible AI adoption, and the role HR should play in AI decisions were particularly valuable. I especially appreciated the emphasis on balancing the possibilities of AI with human judgement. In HR, that distinction matters. The class also challenged me to think differently about the role of the HRBP. HR doesn't necessarily need to become the technical AI expert in the room, but we absolutely need to understand enough about the technology to ask the right questions, identify the workforce implications, anticipate changing skills and roles, and make sure the human side of AI adoption isn't an afterthought. Daniel created a very engaging environment for discussion and encouraged participants to challenge ideas rather than simply absorb information. I left the class with practical ideas I can apply in my own HR work, as well as a much broader perspective on how AI will shape the profession. A worthwhile class for any HR professional who wants to stay ahead of where the workplace is going rather than simply react once it gets there.
