ADHD coach, keynote speaker, and author

More and more professionals are coming to terms with the fact that their brain works differently than others, but after the label of "neurodivergent" is applied... what comes next? This daylong session answers that question (and more!), empowering learners to build deep self-awareness, release shame around their neurodivergence, practice effective workplace advocacy strategies, and adapt to neurotypical environments in authentic ways.
Learners will emerge knowing more about what their superpowers are (and how to leverage them) and what their learning edges are (and how to mitigate them). They'll be further along on their acceptance journeys, have specific tools for effectively asking for what they need to do their jobs with excellence, and be ready to adapt more successfully.
Engaging, interactive, and highly effective, this daylong workshop is for all neurodivergent professionals-- regardless of formal diagnosis, existing familiarity with neurodiversity, or career status!
We'll get to know each other so our time together is as effective as possible, going over hopes and expectations for the day.
The group will learn about the stages of neurodivergent identity development, emerging with a clear sense of what stage they're each in and how to continue progressing along the path of acceptance.
Continuing to build self-awareness, learners will be introduced to the neurodivergence wheel and will be given time to complete their own map, deepening awareness of their superpowers and kryptonite.
We will begin to unpack what self-advocacy is, identifying when participants have effectively (and ineffectively) asked for what they need to be successful at work.
Participants will learn three specific frameworks for asking for accommodations or adaptations in the workplace, including scripting for each. We will break into small groups for practice.
This is our deep dive into one of the biggest pitfalls neurodivergent people face in the workplace: rejection sensitivity. We'll learn what it is and how to receive feedback gracefully.
Based on everything we've learned so far, we'll delve into concrete skills for adapting authentically to neurotypical workplaces (when the system can't adapt to us).
We will take time to appreciate each other for accomplishing an entire day of learning and growing! We'll also summarize what we've learned, make committments, and identify ways to follow through.
