<h3>Why I enrolled</h3>
I'm coming in with a specific project in motion an anthology short film series set in Western Canada in the late 1980s, built around a single cultural moment and its ripple effect through a group of teenagers in a working-class neighbourhood. Still under wraps, but developed enough that I need to know whether AI can close the gap between a finished script and something that actually looks and feels like a film.<ol class="list-decimal ml-8"><li>A mental model, not just a toolkit: how to think about where AI extends creative capability versus where it creates compromise.</li><li>A realistic pipeline for an independent narrative period piece, script through delivery.</li><li>A pre-visualization practice: I've been writing. I need to start seeing.</li><li>A defensible point of view: I write publicly about culture and creative technology. I want to finish this with conviction, not just enthusiasm.</li></ol>



<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
The conversation in the Q&amp;A reinforced something I'm already working through in my own practice: character consistency is one of the hardest and most important problems in AI video right now. Hearing how Gabe thinks about it, and the platforms he reaches for, gave me a few new angles to test against the workflow I'm building with Kling. I'm going to take those back into my current project and see what holds.
