Game Production – Think Like a Game Producer & Ship Games!

<p class="p2-tall">Hi all,<br>My goals:</p><ul class="list-disc ml-8"><li><p class="p2-tall">fill in some gaps in the game development processes that I haven't experienced before</p></li><li><p class="p2-tall">get a better understanding of the business side of games</p></li><li><p class="p2-tall">get hands-on and soft skill pointers for this role (especially interested in roadmapping)</p></li><li><p class="p2-tall">discovering for myself if production or product management is a better fit for me </p></li></ul>

    <h3>A breakthrough moment</h3><p class="p2-tall">I think my aha moment came from a few mentions that the better producers are the ones who are not just trackers and pushing productivity but those who can empathize with the teams, work with them proactively and broaden their learning of the different disciplines. I've work with producers who were strictly heads down in their lanes and others who blend in with the teams. The blenders always left a bigger impact. Gives something to aspire to in this role. <br><br>Andy, I always appreciate your candid stories and takes on things! Very relatable and humor will always make for a better learning experience.  </p>

<p class="p2-tall">Anything I can in whatever role I'm in. But roadmapping and data were the areas I was interested in when coming in.</p>
