<h3>Why I enrolled</h3>
<p class="p2-tall">This is my second time taking this course. I first joined in January 2025, a year ago, at a time when visual metaphors were opening up new ways for me to think and communicate.<br></p><p class="p2-tall">This time, my goal is threefold: to deepen and anchor what I learned during my first experience, to learn from the perspectives and practices of other participants, and to share what has taken shape over the past year — especially my exploration of how to collaborate with AI in ways that support clarity, authorship, and a consistent visual style.</p>

    <h3>A breakthrough moment</h3><p class="p2-tall">This is my second time taking this course. The first time was in January 2025, Cohort 9. It’s difficult to choose just one ‘aha moment’, so I have two.<br></p><p class="p2-tall">First, I used to try to create visuals with sophisticated imagery, often resorting to AI. This time, I realised <strong>I can create impactful visuals using only arrows, simple shapes, and graphs of all kinds. </strong>The <em>Timeless Formats</em> inspired me a lot in this regard. I produced several visuals without using AI at all, and I’m very proud of that.<br></p><p class="p2-tall">Second, I previously struggled with captions and labels, especially with the five-finger rule. This time, <strong>I learned to use the six power labels and the rule of the five fingers to help prompt and frame a clear message</strong>. The rule of contraction was particularly inspiring for me.</p>

<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
<p class="p2-tall">I think we can really create excellent visuals with graphics and symbols. For someone like me who isn't very good at drawing, it's an excellent alternative that I will continue to explore.</p>
