My goals for this course are to be able to understand how my variety of skills and experience might apply to a role in UX, and to learn how to clearly communicate them during an interview and in a portfolio site (or online presence in general).Blind Spots:<ul class="list-disc ml-8"><li>Thoroughly presenting case studies and past work in a way that fully captures my contributions</li><li>Talking about past experience in a way that doesn’t sound scattered or self-diminishing</li><li>Feeling confident in how my experience sets me apart</li><li>Visualizing myself in a new role in UX</li></ul>Strengths:<ul class="list-disc ml-8"><li>Agility and work ethic</li><li>Connecting with people</li></ul>


 <h3>A breakthrough moment</h3>I'm realizing that I struggle to nail down my messaging because I feel like I am still figuring out what exactly my strengths are in the UI/UX space. Also, I keep feeling a pull to include "Speaker" in my role description but I haven't had a speaking engagement yet lol. In short, I'm wondering how forward-thinking I should be with my personal branding, or if I should stick with the 'now'. For example, while I'm very interested in the relationship between Org Behavior and Design Systems, I don't have too much to show for it other than my opinions and small sample of work experience. Having a little identity crisis maybe? 😅


<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
Very excited to 'rip the bandaid off' when it comes to posting &amp; making connections on LinkedIn. I'm also really excited to dig back into my portfolio in light of my clarified direction &amp; values.
