UX Strategy for Devising AI-Driven Products

<h3>Why I enrolled</h3>
My primary goal is to learn how to apply my existing UX design skills to the unique challenges of creating AI-driven products, specifically focusing on building user trust and ensuring transparency. I want to understand the new methodologies and frameworks for designing with probabilistic systems, as this is a fundamental shift from traditional product design.<ul class="list-disc ml-8"><li>I hope to learn how to conduct user research specifically for AI products to identify genuine user needs and pain points, rather than just building a product because the technology is available.</li><li>I'm particularly interested in the ethical considerations and want to develop a strategy for communicating how an AI makes decisions to the user.</li></ul>I hope this course will help me help in my search for my next adventure in my career.<ul class="list-disc ml-8"><li>I believe that as AI becomes more integrated into every product, having a strong UX strategy for these systems will be a crucial skill, for me, as a product designer.</li><li>I want to be able to lead the design and strategy for new AI products in my future companies, and this course will give me the tools and confidence to do that effectively.</li></ul>Ultimately, my goal is to transition from being a UX designer for traditional products to a strategic designer who can effectively devise and lead the creation of human-centered, AI-driven solutions.



<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
The entire methodology from this course will be transformative for my practice. What particularly stands out is how storyboarding was presented - this course opened my eyes to treating storyboarding as an essential strategic step rather than an optional nice-to-have. I realized I've been either skipping storyboards entirely or overthinking them when I do create them. Jaime showed me that storyboards don't need to be elaborate productions - they just need to effectively communicate the user journey and problem-solution narrative. This practical, no-nonsense approach to storyboarding removes the barrier I had created around this valuable tool.The structured problem statement framework combined with AI-assisted iteration will become my go-to approach for every project. Having concrete templates removes the paralysis of starting with a blank page, while the critical questioning methods ensure I don't get stuck on my first idea. What excites me most is how the templates actually enhance creativity rather than constrain it. The "[User type + Context] is trying to [need/goal]" format forced me to think more precisely about my target audience and their specific circumstances, which led to much stronger insights than my usual free-form brainstorming. The combination of systematic frameworks with practical execution tools (like screener questions that directly map to problem statements) gives me a complete toolkit I can immediately apply to client work and personal projects.
