Course overview

Prepare yourself for a seat at the strategy table

THE POINT: For product designers and managers to succeed, they must speak business fluently. That means understanding how your company’s business strategy and product experience are interconnected. In this intensive 2-week course, led by an expert who leads Discovery Phases at major enterprises, you’ll gain the skills and language needed to drive effective product strategy.

HOW THE COURSE WORKS: We’ll meet twice a week for 90-minute sessions, combining in-depth, engaging lectures with dedicated Q&A time. With each session, you’ll have an optional assignment to reinforce what you learned. Complete the assignments, and you’ll have the foundation of a strategy deck or portfolio ready to develop further. Office hours with Jaime happen on Fridays for personalized feedback on your project and/or to learn from the feedback to others.

LEARN THESE SKILLS:

• Craft clear problem statements and compelling value propositions

• Leverage proto-personas to structure insightful customer interviews

• Conduct systematic competitive research and analysis

• Develop storyboards that structure the prototype design for concept testing

THE AI PART: Jaime will teach how to integrate best-in-class AI tools into the workflow so that they genuinely enhance the process. For your projects, you will be encouraged to solve real-world problems with practical, non-toxic AI-powered solutions.

THE METHODOLOGY: UX Strategy is the essential first step before design or development starts. It shapes a validated vision by testing solutions with real customers to confirm market fit, using lightweight, evidence-based tactics that speed progress

JAIME’S BOOK: Jaime Levy is the author of the top-selling book “UX Strategy” (O’Reilly Media, 2nd edition), widely regarded as the definitive guide to user experience strategy. Translated into nine languages, the book explores the intersection of business strategy and product design through both practical and theoretical perspectives.

What people are saying

Jaime Levy’s UX Strategy course is worth its weight in gold! It invigorated me and now I leave with a set of valuable tools in my tool kit to use on product strategy within my organization. I can now apply her methodology demonstrated in my class project and say I learned it from the woman who wrote the book on "UX Strategy"!

Jaime’s UX Strategy course zeros in on the most essential discovery activities and ditches anything that’s not clear, specific, and actionable. Plus, you get a lot of 1:1 feedback directly from Jaime—not an assistant.
