Lead High-Impact Discovery Phases with AI-Infused Strategy Techniques

THE POINT: Great product designers and managers know that business strategy and the customer experience are inseparable.

In this 4-week course, you’ll build the mindset and vocabulary of roles like Product Strategist, Design Strategist, UX Strategist, and Strategic Designer, gaining the skills and techniques needed to drive innovation and measurable success.

You’ll also learn when to apply powerful frameworks for Strategic Thinking, Systems Thinking, Workflow Optimization, Root Cause Analysis, and AI Strategy.

THE AI PART: Jaime will teach how to responsibly integrate best-in-class AI tools into your workflow and use them to solve real-world problems with practical and ethical AI-powered solutions.

HOW THE COURSE WORKS: We’ll meet once a week for 90-minute sessions, combining in-depth, engaging lectures with dedicated Q&A/discussion time. With each session, you’ll have an optional assignment to reinforce what you learned. Complete the assignments, and you’ll have the foundation of a strategy deck or portfolio ready to develop further. Office hours with Jaime happen on Fridays and Mondays for personalized support/feedback on your project.

What you’ll learn

Each week offers a deep dive into the techniques, theory, artifacts, and deliverables that define the Discover Phase.

  • Use Claude’s iterative why-analysis to identify root causes and clarify goals.

  • Articulate your strategic vision clearly to align teams and leadership.

  • Apply GPT-5 ethically to create bias-free screeners and discussion guides that test problem statements and personas.

  • Run structured, efficient user research and learn to use tools like Notebook LLM for pattern recognition and analysis.

  • Uncover insights, triangulate data, and verify results—not with unreliable autonomous agents.

  • Identify the opportunity space and communicate it in a concise, compelling strategy brief.

  • Use tools like Storyboard.AI and Kling AI to visualize flows and test value propositions.

  • Focus your designers on a solid narrative and key features to gauge customer interest.
