Mary Beth Hazeldine will make your ideas impossible to ignore

For 24 years I held senior roles at JPMorgan Chase, PwC, Commerzbank and RBS — not as a trainer, but as the executive reviewing proposals, approving funding, and deciding whose ideas got traction.

I left banking to join Winning Presentations: 16 years training thousands of executives and teams at HSBC, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, UniCredit and beyond.

My Psychology degree, NLP Master Practitioner, and Clinical Hypnotherapist qualification mean I work on the whole problem: not just structure and slides, but the psychology of why people lose rooms — and how to change it. Both programmes use AI as a strategic thinking tool — not technical, not complex, but powerful for communicating clearly and winning decisions.

Nobody else brings this combination. Look for it. You won't find it.

One of the most useful courses I’ve taken. Mary Beth has turned 24 years of experience in high-stakes environments at JPMorgan, PwC, RBS and Commerzbank into something clear, practical and genuinely insightful. You can tell straight away that this isn’t theory. She has been in the room when senior decisions were being made and understands what gets a “yes”, and what can undermine a proposal before you even realise it. What I found particularly valuable is that the course challenges many of the assumptions we have about presenting. Some of the ideas are surprisingly counterintuitive. The way most of us naturally build a case is not necessarily the way senior leaders make decisions. Mary Beth explains why and gives you a clear structure that reflects how those decisions actually happen. It also goes well beyond presentation structure. The course covers how to deliver your message, respond to pushback and recognise the stress patterns that can affect you under pressure. By the end, you have a practical playbook built around your own triggers and behaviours. The lessons are short, focused and easy to apply immediately. And because the approach is based on how people make decisions rather than on any particular industry, it is relevant across roles and sectors. I’d recommend it without hesitation, both to senior leaders and to professionals earlier in their careers who want to become much more effective in high-stakes conversations.

This is a excellent course, blending decision making, presenting, knowing your audience, and how to hold their attention. Can't recommend this enough. MaryBeth demonstrates her personal experience in using these techniques and shares use cases from her practice and executives she's coached. I have started trying to apply the techniques not just to presentations, but important conversations to tee up a topic with management. So far, so good! In addition, classes are in cohorts, and I found the experiences and knowledge of my classmates to be extremely motivational and, well, inspiring. You will really be glad you took this class. (Going to recommend it to the leaders of our Executive Development program!)

The course is a blend of professional information about developing presentations and some interesting psychology insights on how to make it resonate with decision makers. It all made a lot of sense to me, and I was doing some post-mortems on old slide decks throughout the course. Even more, I think the approach is extensible to in person discussions, planning meetings, written proposals, and maybe even performance discussions. Definitely recommend the class, and I really liked Mary Beth as a presenter and instructor. Take it!
