One company holds 40% share of voice in its category and gets named first when a buyer asks AI which vendor to use. It also scores 29 out of 100 on our audit. Both are true, and the gap between them is the whole lesson. The audit reads the website. Its best work isn't on the website.
This is the annotated board from the session. It walks six real pages and the six checks that actually decide AI search: whether your sitemaps are declared in robots.txt, whether your best number survives a fetch with JavaScript off, whether your markup labels your data, whether a named author with a real track record stands behind the content, whether you publish a number only you have, and whether you answer the high-intent questions (price and comparison) in plain text. Five of the six fixes have nothing to do with company size.
Walk it, then run the same six checks on your own site.
What's in the download:
The full annotated board (an Excalidraw file): a "Start Here" summary, six page teardowns, and the verdict
The six-check methodology with the real findings and sources for each page
The fix for each gap, ordered cheapest first (an afternoon) to most expensive (a quarter), so you don't start with the wrong one
How to open it: it's an .excalidraw file. Go to excalidraw.com and drag it in, or File then Open. It's free and needs no account.
