About The Atticus Project
The Atticus Project is a nonprofit teaching AI skills to legal professionals.
Our peer-reviewed research includes three open-source legal AI benchmark datasets: CUAD (NeurIPS 2021), MAUD (EMNLP 2023), and ACORD (ACL 2025).
We translate that research into hands-on workshops for in-house counsel and legal teams. Each cohort is taught by a former GC. Past guest instructors include Saba Legesse (Head of Legal, Infoblox), Irene Liu (Founder, Hypergrowth GC), and Ji-Hyun Park (former Global Head of Legal at Intercom). Workshops cap at 20 attendees, run 2 hours, and include a take-home kit and CLE credit (CA MCLE plus reciprocity in 14 states).
Atticus also runs executive education in legal AI at Stanford Law Exec Ed and UC Berkeley Law Exec Ed.
