Become an AI-Native Builder

Learn to increase your leverage with AI

📌 Lenny helped create this course but isn't teaching it live. It's led by Lenny's Newsletter education team.

For years, the PM job drifted toward purely coordination and alignment work. That version of the role is fading fast. The best PMs at the best companies have quietly rebuilt how they work over the past year. They prototype with their real code. They query data conversationally with MCP. They use AI to create leverage.

In this 4-week course, you'll learn foundational technical skills while applying new AI workflows leveraging the latest tools. Through hours of hands-on practice, you'll discover a new way to think about how to leverage AI to get work done.

What you’ll learn

Leverage AI at each step of the product development lifecycle: discovery, prototyping, and delivery.

  • Install, configure, and build your first custom skill with Claude Code or an equivalent coding agent

  • Connect your first MCP server to pull live context from tools like Linear, Slack, or Drive

  • Know when to reach for a coding agent vs. a chat interface for any given task

  • Connect PostHog via MCP and query funnels, cohorts, and feature adoption conversationally

  • Pull support tickets and usage logs into a single view to surface patterns you'd miss manually

  • Write a hypothesis and opportunity assessment your team can actually act on

  • Generate a structured feature spec from a hypothesis and iterate on it with your agent

  • Use pattern libraries like Mobbin to ground your prototype in proven UI/UX decisions

  • Build multiple prototype variations using your product's existing components and design system

  • Learn how to navigate git workflows like cloning, PRs, and merging.

  • Iterate locally with your coding agent to test, debug, and get the draft to handoff quality

  • Deploy a PR preview to Railway so stakeholders can click through your work

  • Draft release notes, Slack announcements, and stakeholder updates grounded in your project context

  • Create evals to ensure automated outputs are still high quality

Who this course is for

  • You're not already using MCPs daily, prototyping with your real components, shipping PRs, or scheduling tasks that judge their own outputs

  • You work on a product team and want to understand how AI tools change the way you ship

  • You want a structured, hands-on environment where you build real skills instead of watching demos

Prerequisites

  • Coding agent

You must have one of Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor with sufficient usage limits (Insider Lenny's subscribers get Cursor free for 12 months)

  • Node js, Github CLI, Python

You will need to be able to run code on your computer. The course has setup instructions

  • Personal account with Claude / Codex / Cursor

The course works best if you do not have limits placed by your work account on your coding agent, like blocking MCPs or skills.
