Doug Turnbull (Maven) -- search should be an asset. Not mysterious.

In 2012, Doug got bit by the search bug and he's still trying to keep up. From full-text search, to Learning to Rank models, to search agents that generate their own code, he knows the endless landscape first hand. Yet Doug wants to deeply understand the what / how / why, and help teams use these technologies practically, distinguishing hype from reality.

He’s led search at Reddit, Shopify, and Wikipedia, authored Relevant Search and AI Powered Search, and advised 100+ organizations over the years - all in pursuit of the same question: how does search actually work?

Build Production-Ready AI Agents for the Enterprise

Course touched on some fundamental concepts of Agentic Engineering and Search. I found it quite useful as it filled any knowledge gaps I had on both topics. Doug and Hugo are very engaging and explain the concepts with clarity. Thank you!

Build Production-Ready AI Agents for the Enterprise

Top notch content with relevant side bars to make the concepts real. Great blend of concepts and hands on. You come away with code to run and study, so you can really absorb the material. Strongly recommend.

I learned way more than I thought I would. This is an advanced course to be sure, and I feel blessed to have found it in the nick of time. Thank you both for offering this. The Capstone show & tell session was tremendous. Seeing how different people use AI was eye opening to say the very least.

Hugo and Doug did a fantastic job. I really like this course, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to start using AI in their daily job; they show us the principles from a practical perspective and how to implement them. I really enjoyed the course; this is by far one of the best courses I have taken.

Build your own vector database

Very helpful course, I learned about PCA, quantization and HNSW graph traversal. The best part is that Doug codes in front of you and you also get access to the private slack channel where you can ask follow-up questions.
