Ace AI Product Sense Interviews

Rachel Windzberg - PMAdvising

Ex-Meta PM, now coaching L6+ leaders

AI doesn't make the interview easier; It raises the bar for judgment

Everything with AI is easier, except for Product Management interviews.

You are now expected to walk into a room, understand a problem space, define a user, identify the most acute pain, build a clickable prototype, and defend every decision in under an hour, with tools you may never have used in a high-stakes setting before.

What separates strong candidates at L6+ is not knowing the steps. It is the ability to cut through ambiguity, synthesize signal from noise, and make a defensible call on what matters most, then communicate that reasoning with clarity and conviction when it counts.

Most candidates underestimate how different this feels in practice. Knowing the steps is not the same as being able to move through them fluidly, in real time, while directing an AI tool and thinking out loud at the same time. That takes deliberate practice, built methodically and correctly.

In 3.5 hours you will work through a real interview prompt twice: once with your own thinking, once with AI as your partner. You will build something, present it, and get direct feedback on where your thinking is strong and where it needs work.

You will leave knowing where you stand and what to do next.

What you’ll learn

Go from knowing the framework to owning the room. Build the judgment, AI fluency, and executive presence that lands you L6+ offers

  • The five dimensions of product sense at L6+

  • How AI fluency is assessed and what good looks like vs. what fails

  • Identify the pitfalls that derail even the strongest candidates and learn how to avoid them

  • Demonstrate strategic clarity and executive presence under pressure

  • Know when to commit to a direction and how to defend it with conviction

  • Leave a lasting impression by making your interviewer feel like they just met someone they want to work with

  • AI pitfalls: hallucination, over-automation, outsourcing your thinking

  • When to reach for AI and when to stay in your own head first

  • How to prompt deliberately and push back on what AI gives you

Workshop agenda

  • What interviewers evaluate at L6+ and how AI changes the bar

Learn the evaluation criteria used by companies like Meta, Google and Open AI, how AI fluency is now assessed, and the pitfalls that derail even experienced PMs.

  • Foundational product sense

Work through a real interview prompt together, step by step, from strategy, to segmentation, problem identification to solutions and GTM.

  • The AI shift: from whiteboard thinking to building live in the room

Two years ago you sketched frameworks. Today you research, prompt, build and defend a prototype in real time. We walk through what that shift looks like in practice and how to prepare for it.

  • Live AI Product Sense exercise

You research, segment, prioritize, build a clickable prototype, and critique it, with AI as your thought partner, all under real interview conditions.

  • AI in the room: personalized critique and coaching in real time

You present your prototype and approach, receive direct feedback on your product thinking, AI fluency, and executive presence, and leave knowing exactly what to work on next.

  • Rachel is an exceptional PM interview coach. She helped me structure my thinking, sharpen my product frameworks, and build real confidence going into interviews at top companies. Her coaching style is direct and warm - she pushes you to go deeper without making you feel lost. Whether it was mock interviews, product design questions, or working through my narrative, she met me where I was and got me where I needed to be. I’d recommend her to any PM looking to level up their interview game.

  • Working with Rachel while preparing for my final-round interviews was one of the most clarifying experiences I've had. She helped me see patterns I couldn't observe myself. How subtle frustration with difficult stakeholders was leaking into my stories as blame-shifting, or how I was using newness to the role as an escape hatch from accountability. None of this was obvious to me before. Highly recommend if you’re preparing for high-stake interviews and want coaching that goes beyond surface-level

  • I worked with Rachel for the past year as I moved from enterprise PM at Microsoft to consumer PM at Google. Rachel asks questions that cut through the noise and get you unstuck, which I now use for my own decision making. She also helped me gain clarity on recurring situations like building visibility, navigating stakeholders, and investing in sponsors. I really enjoyed working with Rachel. Her style is down to earth, she asks thoughtful questions and I always came away with clear next steps

  • Rachel's coaching helped me land two job offers in just one month after five months of searching on my own. Her down-to-earth, holistic approach went beyond interview preparation, providing personalized guidance to boost my confidence and align my personal and long-term goals. Through executive coaching, Rachel helped me develop a plan for successful onboarding, focusing on relationship management and sustainable career growth.

  • Working with Rachel was a game changer. Before our sessions, I relied too much on generic prep materials, some good, some not so much, and ended up memorizing formulas instead of learning how to think. Rachel immediately understood how I process problems and tailored her coaching to strengthen both my reasoning and confidence. She helped me move beyond scripted answers so I could adapt on the fly, stay calm when things went off track, and genuinely think through product challenges. It’s the difference between rehearsing answers and actually being ready for anything.
