Your First AI Agent: Set It Up and Put It to Work

Set up AI the way you would onboard a new team member

Most owners I talk to use AI the same way: ask a question, copy the answer, paste it somewhere else. It helps, and it stops there.

AI starts doing real work when you set it up the way you would set up a new person on your team: it knows your business, writes in your voice, follows your rules, and only gets access to what the job needs.

Week 1 does that setup. Weeks 2 to 4 each take one area of your work: email, documents and presentations, and marketing. Every Tuesday you learn the method in a small group. Then you and I meet one to one, on your screen, and set it up on your own business. A class alone stays general. The private sessions are where it becomes your work.

What you’ll learn

Go from asking AI questions to handing it real tasks from your week, set up with me in your own accounts.

  • Write a context file the AI reads first: who you serve, what you sell, how you write

  • Set rules for what it may and may not do, and your privacy settings

  • Know when to use a chat, a project or an agent

  • Turn one kind of messy email into the same fields every time

  • Move those details into your spreadsheet, client list or supplier form

  • Have AI draft replies and follow-ups that you approve before they go out

  • Briefs, proposals and reports drafted from your own notes

  • Slides built in minutes instead of hours

  • A design rules file, so everything the AI makes looks like your business

  • A voice and visual kit the AI works from

  • One idea turned into posts and a newsletter

  • Connected to the tools you already post with

  • Three tasks set up with me in your own accounts, on a schedule if they repeat

  • Your privacy rules: what goes in, what never does, and which apps it can reach

  • Your playbook: what you hand off next, what you keep, and a 30-day plan
