Why this topic matters

Headlines love declaring the death of data careers. What they really describe is the end of old role definitions. AI is not replacing data professionals. It is replacing narrow, tool-bound thinking. This session helps you reconnect with the value of your work, reclaim confidence, and intentionally redesign your career for the next decade. Learn directy from a hiring executive.

4x Chief Data & AI, Fortune 500, hired and lead 500+ people teams

I am a global data, analytics, and AI executive with over 25 years of experience building and leading data organizations inside complex, regulated, and fast-moving enterprises. I have served 4 times as Global Chief Data Officer and senior digital leader across Fortune 500 companies ranging from $5B to $47B in revenue, owning enterprise data, analytics, data engineering, tech architecture, AI, and customer intelligence at scale.

Across my career, I have built and transformed end-to-end data capabilities. From foundational data platforms and analytics operating models to advanced AI and data products used by companies to make critical decisions. I have managed operational budgets up to $500M and capital investments exceeding $1B, while recruiting, mentoring, and leading globally distributed teams of up to 1,000 data and technology professionals.

What makes my perspective different is that I have lived through multiple waves of “data disruption”. Big Data, data science, self-service BI, cloud, machine learning, and now generative AI. I have seen which roles disappeared, which evolved, and which became more powerful across different industries. Today, I advise boards, executives, and senior data leaders on how to redesign data careers and operating models for the AI era.

I created this session because many capable data professionals are being told their careers are obsolete. That narrative is wrong. What is ending is not data work, but outdated role definitions and narrow skill sets. In this lesson, I translate executive-level insight into practical guidance you can actually apply to your career. Helping you understand how your value is changing, how to reposition your skills, and how to intentionally RECODE your career without starting over.

You will leave with clarity, confidence, and a concrete framework for navigating your next career chapter in data, analytics, and AI.
