Vibe-coding stalls because coding agents are not senior engineers. They overreach, forget previous sessions, and ship stuff that breaks in production. Prompting skills don't fix this. The root cause is missing structure and clarity: a spec that holds the build together, hands off cleanly, and catches failures before they ship. i.e. Spec / Agentic Engineering. Anthropic and Karpathy point to this.
