I spent thirty years inside the trust problem before I built a framework to measure it.

My career started in marketing communications — running an agency, working with brands across industries, watching what happened when organizations lost the confidence of the people who worked for them and the clients who hired them. I saw trust erode in real time. I also saw what it looked like when leaders built it deliberately — and how rare that was.

In 2011 I developed TrustPulse™, a trust measurement methodology built around five specific dimensions of leadership trust: Competence, Consistency, Candor, Concern, and Connection.I've applied it across for-profit and nonprofit organizations, from franchise systems and retail brands to healthcare networks and communications agencies.The consistent finding: most leaders don't fail because they lack skill. They fail because nobody ever gave them a framework for building trust before they needed it.
