Trust Mastery: The 5 Human Principles That Transform Leaders & Companies

Michael Weisman

30-yr CEO. Creator of the 5Cs of Trust.

Describe the transformation students will have in your course

Most leaders know trust matters. What they don't know is why it's breaking down, or what to do about it. In this four-week course you will move from managing by instinct to leading with intention. You will walk away with a complete diagnostic picture of where trust is strong, where it is fragile, and exactly what to do next. The leaders who complete this course don't just understand trust differently, they lead differently. And the organizations around them feel it.

What you’ll learn

You'll become the kind of leader people choose to follow, not because of your title, but because of the trust you've deliberately built.

  • Learn the 5Cs framework — Competence, Consistency, Candor, Concern, Connection — in plain, practical language.

  • Understand what each dimension looks like in real day-to-day leadership situations.

  • Build a personal trust baseline so you know exactly where to start

  • Understand the difference between a leader with a title and a leader people choose to trust.

  • See how new leaders win or lose credibility in the first 90 days.

  • Learn the specific behaviors that build trust quickly with a new team.

  • Use the TrustPulse™ framework to score your own trust across all five dimensions.

  • Identify the specific C that is most at risk in your current relationships and team dynamics.

  • Leave with a personal action plan tied to your lowest-scoring dimension.

  • Learn why consistency, not charisma, is the most predictive driver of long-term trust.

  • Discover the small, repeatable behaviors that make people feel safe following you.

  • Walk away with a 30-day trust-building practice you can start the day the course ends.

Weekly Projects

1 hr / week

Each week includes a hands-on assignment applying that week's framework to your real leadership situation. A self-assessment, a homework exercise, or a specific conversation to have and reflect on. Plan for 30–60 minutes per week, submitted in your student portal before the next live session.

  • In a world of transactional relationships that are increasingly difficult to navigate, I found Michael Weisman's session on building and mastering trust incredibly helpful.

Here are a few key takeaways that really resonated with me:

    1. The 5Cs framework provides highly practical building blocks for successfully and quickly growing trust.
    2. My main takeaway was the realization that you cannot grow if you are stuck in old habits. To be promotable, you need a measurable trust process as a strategic tool.
    3. Trust building is a trained skill. While some may have it naturally, I am grateful for the training Michael and Maven provided on this crucial topic.
