The Problem-to-Product Sprint

Nijat Hajiyev

Product Owner @ JPMC | Ex-Amazon

One-week live sprint. Start with a problem, finish with a product.

Every week another tool promises to do your job. AI writes the user story. AI drafts the requirements. AI maps the process in seconds.

So people rush to learn the tools. And they are still the person who documents what someone else already decided.

Here is what did not change:

  • Someone has to find the real problem under the noise, prove it with data, and turn it into something people can actually use. AI made that person more valuable, and made everyone else optional.

This sprint is 9 days of becoming that person. You take one real business problem and drive it end to end: define it, size it in money, model it, design the fix, and build a working prototype with AI. On the last day, you present what you built.

No coding. No prior experience needed.

What you’ll learn

In 9 days, you'll build a working product prototype from scratch.

  • Separate the problem from the solution everyone rushes to.

  • Leave with: a sharp problem statement and a root-cause map.

  • Size the problem in money from real data.

  • Leave with: a stakeholder map and a dollar figure.

  • Model how the process works today and find the precise failure point.

  • Leave with: an As-Is process diagram with the gap marked.

  • Redesign the process, and learn what APIs, AI, and the cloud actually are.

  • Leave with: a To-Be diagram and three real requirements.

  • Turn your design into a clickable prototype without writing a line of code.

  • Leave with: a working prototype you built yourself.

  • Pitch your problem-to-product story live and get direct feedback.

  • Leave with: a project you can put in front of a hiring manager.
