    Explore what is actually going on inside our brains in times of stress and why science disproves the common recommendation to just "control yourself" or "stayu calm"

    Learn how to reduce limbic arousal and re-engage our pre-frontal cortex

    Practice Shortcutting the Limbic System

    Work with a partner to practice labelling your feelings, activating your thinking brain, and asking what you could have done that you'll be proud of later?

    Introduce Solution #2: Vocal Smoothing

    Introduction to the second tool of vocal smoothing, and why vocal regulation can trick the brain into using the pre-frontal cortex in times of stress.

    Practice Vocal Smoothing

    Work with a partner to practice vocal smoothing, and compare how it feels as the speaker and the recipient when using your emotional vs your "NPR" voice.

    Set S.M.A.R.T. Goals and intentions

    Learning without practice is vanity. Identify specific moments in the coming week where you can apply these tools and incorporate them into your life to change your brain for the better and forever.
