Human & AI Workflow Lab: Redesign One Real Workflow of Your Choice

Human-AI Work & Systems Advisor

Use AI Without Losing the Judgment Your Work Depends On

AI is becoming part of everyday work, but using it well requires more than choosing the right tool or writing a better prompt.

For experienced professionals, the harder questions are:

What should I delegate to AI?

What still needs my judgment? What must be verified?

Where does accountability remain? And is this workflow strengthening my expertise—or quietly weakening capabilities I still need?

In this two-hour working Lab, you’ll bring one real AI-assisted workflow, decision, client deliverable, communication, or recurring task from your own work.

I’ll demonstrate the method, guide you through each decision point, and provide feedback through live examples and questions.

You’ll map the current workflow, identify where AI adds value, locate the judgment and verification points, uncover possible rework or risk, and redesign the workflow with clearer roles for you and AI.

You’ll leave with:

  • A completed Human + AI Workflow Map for work you already do

  • Clear decisions about what to delegate, verify, retain, or change

  • One practical experiment to test in your work

  • A reusable method for evaluating future AI-assisted workflows

This is not a tools class. We work on your actual work.

What you’ll learn

Redesign one real AI-assisted workflow so AI improves the work while judgment, accountability, and professional capability remain visible.

  • Identify the people, decisions, information, AI steps, handoffs, and intended outcome in one real workflow.

  • Separate tasks AI can reasonably assist with from decisions requiring experience, context, relationships, or professional responsibility.

  • Identify what must be checked, who is responsible for the final result, and what should happen when the AI output is incomplete, inaccurate,

  • Examine whether speed in one part of the workflow is producing corrections, confusion, generic output, lost context, or unnecessary dependen

  • Create a clearer Human + AI Workflow Map and evaluate whether the redesigned process improves quality—not merely speed.

  • Leave with one change to test, what result to watch for, and what evidence will tell you whether the workflow actually improved.

Workshop agenda

  • . Map a real Human + AI workflow

Bring one workflow from your own work and map it privately as we move through the process. I’ll demonstrate the method with examples, then give you time to apply each step to your own situation.

  • Work through the judgment points together

We’ll pause throughout the workshop for questions, observations, and examples—not save everything for the end. Volunteers may share a workflow or challenge for live discussion

  • Redesign the workflow and test your thinking

You’ll identify what to delegate to AI, what to verify, where human judgment and accountability belong, and what you want to change. We’ll use selected volunteer examples to compare approaches and lea

  • . Leave with your next experiment

Before we finish, you’ll choose one change to test in your actual work and identify what you’ll watch for: better quality, less rework, clearer responsibility, stronger judgment, or another outcome th

  • An interactive working session

Questions and examples will be included throughout the Lab. You control what you share: work privately, participate in chat, or volunteer a workflow for live discussion
