Executive Judgment in the Age of AI: Make Decisions You Can Defend Without AI

Joshua Miller

Exec Coach to Google, PayPal, the NFL

Every other course teaches deciding with AI. This proves you can without it.

Your output has never been faster. And somewhere in the last year, you noticed you could not fully explain a decision you had just made. Not the outcome. The reasoning underneath it.

Most leaders respond by promising to read the output more carefully. That does not work, because you cannot detect this in yourself. People rate their own understanding highly right up until someone asks them to explain it out loud.

That is Cognitive Atrophy. You did not lose intelligence. You stopped using the one capability your role rests on.

AI can analyze, model, and recommend. It cannot sign its name. When the call goes wrong, nobody asks the model. They ask you.

And the problem is not that your calls are wrong. It is that you have lost the ability to tell.

Leaders who cannot explain their reasoning stop being handed the decisions that matter. Nobody says why. It just stops.

In four weeks, you defend a real decision on camera with AI removed, scored in week one before any instruction and again in week four. You leave with proof, not notes.

Every other course on decision-making is assessed using the tool. This one is assessed with it gone.

What you’ll learn

Defend a real decision on camera with AI removed, scored twice, and learn the practice that keeps your judgment sharp.

  • Reconstruct your reasoning out loud with no notes, so you are not the one who goes quiet when the second question comes

  • Hear what a room hears when the reasoning is not yours, so you catch it in yourself before someone else does

  • Practice it in the weekly clinic, so the first time you do this under pressure is not in front of your board

  • Change the order you work in, so you stop trading judgment for speed without noticing you did it

  • Run a twenty-minute daily practice, so the thinking gets rebuilt without adding hours to your week

  • Write five positions before touching a tool, so you find out whether you still have instincts or only reactions

  • Run three specific interrogation moves, so you stop calling it a review when you only read it twice

  • Learn why confidence rises as reasoning stops, so you can tell if you were convinced by an argument or a tone

  • Work against output with a real error in it, so you find out how long it takes you to catch one

  • Run the seven signals of the Cognitive A.T.R.O.P.H.Y. Model™ against your week, so you have a way to detect what you currently cannot see

  • Place yourself in the four phases of AI Compliance Drift, so you know whether you are one phase from not checking anything at all

  • Take the Human Intelligence Assessment first, so you know which capability is actually slipping instead of guessing at all three

  • Learn Decision Tracing, so you can make any call you face examinable in under ten minutes

  • Learn the tell between an assumption you built and one you inherited, so you stop defending thinking that was never yours

  • Have someone else run it on you, so you get the answer self-assessment can never give you

  • Run the removal test, so you know which of your decisions would survive without AI and which would not

  • Record and score in week one and week four, so you leave with evidence instead of a feeling

  • You are scored before you learn anything, so what you walk away with is evidence, not a completion certificate

Who this course is for

  • Senior Executives and VPs

The board will ask how you got there. "The analysis supported it" is not an answer anyone accepts twice.

  • Directors and Senior Managers

AI made everyone's output look the same. Judgement is the only thing left that gets you promoted.

  • Founders and CXOs

No one will ever ask you to explain a call. You find out you were wrong when the company does.

Live sessions

Learn directly from Joshua Miller in a real-time, interactive format.

Defend a real decision, scored twice

You defend a real decision on camera with AI removed in week one before any instruction and again in week four. Both are scored; both come back with written feedback from Joshua on your reasoning. The distance between them is what you leave with.

Weekly live coaching clinic

The last 15 minutes of every session, one participant brings a real decision and gets coached on it live. You learn as much by watching someone else get worked with as you do from your own turn. This is the part no self-paced course can replicate.

Structured practice between sessions

Every week has a rep you run on your own time, roughly two hours total. You are placed in a small practice group in week one, and every exercise also has a solo version so nothing depends on someone else's calendar.

Instruments you keep

The Decision Trace, the removal test, the five-day weekly workout, and your own drift map across the seven signals of the Cognitive A.T.R.O.P.H.Y. Model. Built to run for the rest of your career, not just the four weeks.

Alumni session, 30 days after

A free 45-minute session one month out. What held, what broke, what you changed. Alumni also get access to 1:1 coaching with Joshua, offered separately.

Projects

1 hr / week

You pick one real decision you made with AI in the loop. Week one, you defend it on camera with no tool, no notes, no preparation. Weeks two and three rebuild the reasoning underneath it. Week four, you defend it again. Both recordings are scored with written feedback, and the distance between them is what you leave with.

Async content

1 hr / week

Light by design. A short assessment before week one, a recorded prompt you play when you record each defense, and every session available afterward. There is no video library to work through, because the reps are the course, not the watching.
