EU AI ACT: The Clock Started on August 2, 2026. Are you Ready?

The EU AI Act is live. Most organizations are not ready.

Most professionals heard one headline: the EU AI Act was delayed. That is only partially true. The Digital Omnibus pushed back high-risk deadlines. But AI literacy has been law since February 2025. Transparency obligations took effect August 2, 2026. GPAI enforcement powers are active. None of these were delayed.

The problem is not that people ignored the regulation. It is that they received incomplete information and made decisions based on it. Legal teams think they have until 2027. Compliance teams are waiting for guidance that already exists. Leadership has not been briefed on what applies right now.

This course exists because the gap between what organizations think is required and what is actually required is dangerous. Not in theory. In enforcement exposure, vendor risk, and reputational liability.

In four sessions, you will understand exactly which obligations apply to your organization, classify your AI systems, prioritize what matters by role and industry, and build a compliance roadmap you can take to your leadership. You leave with a plan, not a binder.

This is not a legal seminar. It is a working course built for the people who have to make this operational.

What you’ll learn

Go from confused by EU AI Act headlines to owning a compliance roadmap your leadership can act on. No jargon. No guesswork. More clarity.

  • Separate fact from headline. Map every obligation to its actual effective date, post-Digital Omnibus.

  • Understand why AI literacy (Feb 2025) and GPAI rules (Aug 2025) are already enforceable, not future.

  • Walk away with a reference timeline accurate enough to brief your leadership and legal team.

  • Apply the provider, deployer, importer, and distributor definitions to your own AI systems.

  • Identify the common traps: "we just use it," "our vendor handles it," "we are not in the EU.

  • Use the AI System Classification Decision Tree to determine risk level for each system.

  • Separate what you owe as a deployer from what your provider must handle. Stop assuming coverage.

  • Know what to ask your AI vendors, what to put in contracts, and what evidence to require.

  • Draft an 16-month roadmap customized to your organization during a live working session.

  • Distinguish catch-up priorities (AI literacy) from immediate ones (transparency, marking).

  • Frame compliance as risk management and competitive advantage, not just a cost center.

  • Translate regulatory obligations into business risk language your executives will act on.

  • Use the readiness assessment to show exactly where your organization stands and what to fix.

  • Present a time-bound action plan instead of a list of concerns
