The Well-Tempered Vibe Design Prompt

Try this. Give an AI collaborator two versions of the same request.

First: "Make this screen feel calm."

Then: "Reduce the palette to two values with no more than 15% luminance difference. Every transition fades rather than slides, 240ms minimum. One focal element per screen; everything else drops to secondary weight. No motion triggers without direct input."

Both describe calm. Only one is a brief.

The first is a mood, and the machine will resolve it into whatever "calm" means on average across everything it's ever seen labeled calm — soft blues, rounded corners. The second is an instruction set that produces your calm, and rules out a thousand plausible alternatives without your having to reject them one at a time.

That's the whole idea behind this template. The precision is yours. The execution speed is the machine's. What follows is the instrument that carries your precision into every request you make on a project — instead of re-explaining yourself from scratch every time.
