I'm a retired teacher and basketball coach.

A retired educator who is a readaholic and  loves learning and passing it  on.on. Just t urned 79 a month after the elder of my twin daughters died suddenly and traumatically with nine days of turning 50.  Her twin sister who lives in Melbourne and I never got to aay goodbye. The day after she told us if her cancer duagnosis she went for a cell biopsy and was diagnosed with covid. Then the next day their father who hd left when they were two and a half died in Tasmania so the second week of july was taken up with funeral stuff and we had no idea we were in her last days of talking. Getting through the week of the funeral wa so traumatic and marked by cruel and vindictive treatment from her husband who held control of everything. We heard even more of Louise's well lived life than we already did but the lack of information before during nd after her death has been so different from the way she lived her life . I was to carry on her legacy if generous love and compassion without his impact. I have been involved in seeking answers for health and well being (hauora)  all my life. I have sought answers fo learning and behaviour isdues. I supported the intriduction if the NZ health curticulum of Change loss and grief even meeting William Worden at a conference at Crystal Catherdral for CARE AND Kindness back in 2000. I trained in The Journey with Brandon Bayes znd became a Master Facilitator for The Virtues Project  yet a my professional skills and resourcrs do not prepare you for your life to be turned upside down  and bury the elder od your twin daughters five days before their second half of life...For Bronwyn living in Melbourne it was her first birthday without her twin. For me 47 ans a half years as the single mother of twins wS ripped awzy.  Now i need to kearn to live differently in the world fir the rest of my days my life
