The surprising truth about grief is many grow from the experience. Learn how to transform your pain into future purpose and find meaning.

Course overview

Are you curious to understand how your grief has changed you?

There are two types of people in life, those that have lost someone they truly love/d and those that are yet to do so. Now that you're in this terrible club, have you noticed how your grief has changed you?

This course coaches the bereaved to identify new priorities, disentangle conflicting thoughts, leaving you better equipped to live happily and purposefully as you step bravely into the future.

This course is for you if...

Explore five potential pathways for growth

Using our framework to identify specific ways your life has changed in response to loss. you'll explore potential avenues of change and identify emerging opportunities to fill the void.

Develop your personal strengths profile

By helping you to identify your personal strengths you'll feel more empowered to face the future and confident in your ability to navigate challenges in all life domains.

Co-create their legacy so they are never forgotten

What people say...

I particularly love how you take the academic research and mould it into something very tangible and practical- makes it so much easier to teach and apply in our own lives.

Your work is exactly what I've been looking for for a decade. A few years after my sister died, I was ready to move beyond 'everything sucks' to 'how do I let this make me stronger?' So many times in grief, I just wanted to be heard, other times I wanted straight up advice. Lucy is that guide, what I'd been searching for all those years.

Hi, I'm Lucy and I know the agony of what you're going through as I've been there myself. This course was born out of my own experience of heartbreaking loss when our 12 year old daughter was killed in a tragic road accident.

My TED talk, 3 Secrets of Resilient People, went viral during Covid, putting it in the Top 20 most watched talks of 2020.

When Abi died, as a resilience researcher, I quickly became frustrated by the standard grief advice. I wanted to be an active participant in my grief process, doing everything I possibly could to survive, instead of a helpless passenger.

In the eight years since, I have become known globally for helping thousands of people find a better way through bereavement. There is no one 'right' way to grieve, but there are tools that can make the journey less agonising and help you handle your emotions. Nowadays, I'm a senior adjunct professor and travel the world as a professional speaker, best-selling author, and award-winning ‘pracademic’. I blog for Psychology Today and my grief work is featured in the Guardian, the Washington Post, the BBC, CBS, ABC, the Sydney Morning Herald, Channel News Asia, Swedish Television, and TVNZ.

Frankly, grief sucks! Nothing I can do will remove all the pain, but I can share everything I've learned with you, to restore hope, regain control and help you feel more like yourself again.

Ultimately, it is possible to live and grieve at the same time. I look forward to showing you how.
